It uses laser mapping and a camera to create an outline of your area and knows which areas to avoid. And, unlike many vacuums that can mop, it has object/obstacle detection that is able to avoid things like bowls and dog toys (but not poop!).
It also has some outstanding standout features, including an automatic emptying dustbin, a mop pad that's self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water and a side-reaching brush that can get to areas other mops miss. You can also set cleaning schedules in the app and customize the settings for each room of your home.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping that can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. And, if you want to cut down on time, it can skip mopping in rooms that aren't filthy. It's an excellent option when you have a mix of flooring in your home but do not want to invest the extra money on Roborock. Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
If you're looking for a versatile robot vacuum and mop that is able to manage regular maintenance as well as touch-ups to wet messes, this little robot is a good option. It comes with a wide range of features that include a self-emptying dustbin, a separate dock for refilling water, and adjustable settings that can be adjusted via the app. It's extremely quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. However, it isn't able to take care of knotted rug tassels and its battery drains slightly faster than other models we tested in our tests.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a beast that comes with a powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming however, it did very well. It also includes a wide range of cleaning modes to meet your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' option for debris that is light to the more powerful 'Turbo' mode for carpeted rooms. It also has the capability to remove and reconnect its mop pads without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great robot vacuum and mop for people who live in tiny areas. It is very quick and quiet and can maneuver tight spaces well. It is also very good at removing pet hair from carpets.
It's smaller than many of its competitors, but it doesn't sacrifice features. It has a good amount of suction power, and it can be configured to take a photo of each object it comes across (i.e. chew toys, socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app to ensure that they won't be picked up during future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and are not tied to your account.
It is great at vacuuming, but not as great in mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped to the bottom of the bot, and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this with the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mopheads.
